“I went to Suswa Ranch resort looking for a nice hotel next to the Suswa SGR and the Suswa crater, and I wasn't disappointed. The place is comfortable and the staff are very welcoming. I stayed with my family in a spatious cottage with 4 bedrooms en suite which was surrounded by fruit trees and acacias trees. The resort is solar powered, and the showers have warm and abundant water. The hotel staff helped us for transport, and we were able to get a ride up to the Suswa Conservancy on the Narok County side, where we took a 4 hour walk to the highest point of the inner crater. It is also possible to go to the Kajiado County side of the mountain to see volcanic caves following a different route. Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to do the 8 hour walk around the inner crater due to lack of coordination between the counties and separate gates. Suswa ranch resort is a nice stop over to visit the volcanoes of the Rift on your way to the Mara.”
